Create:Connect – A winter school to support mental health and wellbeing
Here at CoCreate we believe in the power of the arts to transform, to heal and to inspire. We also know how important it is to connect with other people, especially in these difficult times. That’s why we have set up the Create:Connect winter school, to help you explore exciting new ways to be creative and to connect with other people through the colder months.
If you feel that regular creative activities would benefit your well-being, and help you stay connected with others, we’d love you to sign up.
Story Jam with Deborah
- Thursday Afternoons, 1.30pm – 3pm
- 8 weeks
- Starting 14th January 2021
About Story Jam
We will work with stories, both existing ones and those that we make, to see what emerges from a range of creative approaches. Through acting, improvisation, devising, image making and designing, we will open up the layers of the stories and let them surprise us. No prior experience is necessary, just a willingness to enjoy working together with a group of people to explore ways of making stories.
Sessions will take place on Thursday afternoons over 8 weeks over Zoom. Ideally you will have a laptop or desktop computer so that you can benefit from a large screen and all the functionality of zoom.
Do you need help to take part?
To make these workshops as inclusive to as many people as we can please let us know any access needs you have when you sign up, and how we can help you to take part.
This might include regular reminders about sessions, support getting onto Zoom, a phone call to explain what to expect before we get started, or a discussion about how you prefer to communicate. If you have a key worker or need support staff, they are welcome to join our sessions to support you to take part.
