We can’t wait to find out more about you and your thoughts about YOUR HighStreet, through conversations and creative activities in May, June and July this year.
You’ll find us on Poole High Street, with lots of drop in and bookable activities for all ages – and all completely FREE to take part in!
What is Happening?
We’ll be asking you what you THINK, FEEL and REMEMBER about Poole High Street.
If you’ve 10 minutes, come and join us for a brew and a chat, tell us your stories, find out more about the heritage of Poole, make a badge, help us craft a sea of fishes, have a cuppa and tell us your story.

If you’ve a little more time to spare or want to try something new, you can book a place at one of our longer workshops – maybe take part in an art class on the street, discover your inner poet, or write a song for Poole! For details of events and booking click on the links. Remember all these events are free, some have limited space but please come along anyway we’ll find you something fun to do.

When & Where?
Find us betwen 9.30am and 4 pm on market days in Poole High Street area near Hill Street just outside Poundstretchers.
You know… opposite where Woolworths used to be…. Near to Mrs Hubbard’s sweet shop.
Plus they’ll be other lovely free events in different parts of the High Street for you to take part in see details below.

Come and paint your view of the high street run by local artist Stuart Faulkner . There will be free paints, pens and paper too

Impression of Poole – make a rubbing of Poole High Street
As part of our Celebrating the history, culture and future of Poole we are encouraging you to take a look at #YourHighStreetPoole more closely and to make a copy!

Rhythm and Song Poole
Rhythym and Song Poole is a free creative session using percussion instruments, drums shakers and your voice to impovise new sounds and rhythm to add your words too creating a new and original song on Poole High Street.
2 July at 10.30am, 12noon and 2pm
People of Poole Walk
A Walk with a Tale or Two about the People of Poole led by Michele O’Brien (Granny Cousins Ghost Walks)

Portraits of People of Poole
We want to make sure that we get some lovely photographs alongside 3 things about you to record as part of the new history of Poole.
All 3 Days 10am til 4pm
Poole Photo i-spy lets you be creative in finding fun ways in taking photographs on Poole High Street but timed!

We’ll use your information to stay in touch with what’s happening, and let you know about any further bookings for the longer workshops.
You can also drop in and see us on any of the days listed above. They’ll be lots to do and even if you haven’t booked.
Why are We Doing This?
We want to celebrate Poole’s incredible heritage, and hear from you what you’d like to happen on YOUR HighStreet, and what sort of place it could become in the future.
We also love getting to know new people through being creative, crafty and discovering more about the place we live.
Across three days, over three months, we’ll be on Poole High Street, and waiting to meet you, we’ll invite you to take part and have a chat with us.
At the end of the project we’ll collect your ideas, artwork, writing and images into a beautiful document full of your thoughts and ideas about Poole High Street.
We can’t wait to meet you!
